Newsletter ‘Beyond the Wall’

“Beyond the Wall” is a newsletter which comprises articles, opinions, interviews, case studies, researches and best practices from contributing authors across our Global Corrections Community. This newsletter is for those who would like to be kept informed with information across the prisons and correctional field and to stay abreast of what’s happening in our Association.

We’ve picked the name “Beyond the Wall” because as an international organisation we have the important mission to not only look within our prisons to seek new initiatives, but also to look outside, to the practices within our societies that assist in reintegration and reducing the need for imprisonment. How we connect professionals across our network and provide a platform for exchanging these ideas is how we advance professional corrections!

We will publish “Beyond the Wall” twice a year in an interactive digital format and it is available to all ICPA members!

If you would like to contribute to the newsletter, check the Guidelines for Authors & Submission Form

Also, read about how the Islamic Republic of Iran is reducing its use of incarceration, an Australian education programme which started in 2012 and now reaches across 76 countries, a rehabilitative theatre programme in Singapore, and a skills-based employment programme for brewing that perfect cup of coffee!\
