A very dear friend of ICPA died suddenly on 16th June 2018

Brendan Kevin Reynolds was one of the key founding members of ICPA who worked effortlessly to realize the idea of an international corrections and prisons association. Coming from his beginnings with the John Howard Society in Canada, he believed and acted consistently on the premise that the community was indeed where corrections started, and where corrections should focus. Building a more progressive and humane corrections was in his DNA and he pursued that goal both in his career with the National Parole Board and the Correctional Service of Canada, retiring as Regional Deputy Commissioner for Ontario, and also in his extensive international networking giving support and assistance to other jurisdictions. He lived the values and principles of ICPA and we have lost a very dear friend and colleague.
